More holiday service hour announcements! Thought we were done celebrating? Due to 2012 being around the corner and of course all the New Years celebrations, we will be shortening service hours tomorrow (12/31) to 5pm EST. If you miss us, leave us a message when you call or email us at email@example.com.
We will get back to you and all your invention needs on Tuesday bright and early at 8am to resume normal service hours.
Have a wonderful New Years! We’re looking forward to an immensely successful 2012 with you!

One of the winning ideas this week was a hairbrush with retractable bristles that is easy to clean. This idea was submitted in one form or another by three different users (that we know of), which means that we have to make a judgment as to who is the original inventor.
We have decided that the winning idea is Vicky Laursen’s (http://www.quirky.com/ideations/145817). The reason for our decision is that Vicky’s (original) idea was posted first chronologically, and the idea was active at the time of selection. The other two ideators (http://www.quirky.com/ideations/133330 & http://www.quirky.com/ideations/144164) will still be eligible to gain influence in the upcoming concept round, in which more infl Read More...
These boots are made for hanging! Stop throwing your boots on the floor with the rest of your shoes. Cubby is a storage product with six compartments for your boots. Place your boots up in the compartments to save on that precious floor space while keeping them in shape with our flexible plastic slip-ins for your boots. Cubby stores up to six pairs of boots and is also collapsible to shorten the length of the rack to save space when not in use. Let Cubby protect and store your boots.
Tammy Maddrey accumulated a collection of boots, but soon space became a limited commodity and she found herself tucking boots in the dark corners of her closet. To fix this once and for all, she dreamed up a product that allows her to hang her boots in Read More...

Recently, we put the stamp on HydraDuo that said “We’re Making It!”. Over a year has gone by since the product was designed and we have decided to revisit it. The new design reduces the amount of plastic, increases functionality, and makes it more aesthetically pleasing. The HydraDuo now includes two refillable plastic chambers held together with a thermoplastic rubber waist band and two removable leak proof mouth pieces. Water and Gatorade? Apple juice and orange juice? Rum and Coke? Carry one and drink two with HydraDuo.
Check out the new CMF phase and help us determine the best possible colors, materials, and finishes for the HydraDuo.
Spread the word! Scoop is a measuring spoon that converts into a spreading knife. Use the spoon to scoop the perfect amount of peanut butter, sour cream, mayo, butter, or cream cheese. Scoop’s living hinges fold down flat, so you can smear your schmear evenly or drop ingredients right into a bowl.
Patty Lovell wanted to measure out perfect portions of peanut butter, but felt there were too many tools and too much hassle involved. She combined the measuring cup and spreading knife into one streamlined solution. With the help of the Quirky Design Staff and over 466 influencers, Patty’s great idea is now a great product. Feast your eyes on Scoop in the Upcoming section now!

We are going to begin issuing social sales make up rewards in the next 48 hours. These rewards are to address lost referrals from flaws that existed in the system between 10/20/2010 and 7/7/2011 that caused some orders not to be attributed to valid referrals. The make up amount for each user will be $.01 per referral attributed to that user during the period between 10/20/2010 and 7/7/2011. This amount is 2x the value of the average referral. Thank you very much for your patience while we worked through this tricky issue.
Additionally, in the next 30 days, we will be rolling out a new referrals system that rewards Quirky users for signing up new users, in addition to rewarding for marketing Quirky products. This system will be more simple, and should be far more lucrative to Quirky users.
Now that the holidays are upon us, and you’ve finally finished your frantic shopping (or if you haven’t, Quirky.com offers overnight shipping!) let’s take a look back at the beginning of the holiday shopping season.
On Black Friday, forty-seven intrepid Quirky community members took to the streets to spread the word about Quirky to bargain-hungry shoppers, who were eagerly waiting to trample each other to get doorbuster deals at countless retail stores nationwide.
Armed with a stack of 500 idea submission cards (as seen above), a Quirky t-shirt and their personal experiences, our volunteers were tasked with getting as many people interested in Quirky as p Read More...
