Clip and Clean: Introducing… Glide
posted ago by baron
Chopping food with a knife is an elegant activity, a culinary art; that is, until it comes time to crudely clean the blade with a swipe of your finger. Glide is a nifty little tool designed to solve this problem for good, keeping a chef’s fingers safe from slicing, along with the stench of garlic or onion. The device clips discreetly onto your knife, moving effortlessly up and down the blade to clean it without the need for napkins or fingers. With an ergonomic finger grip, and a form compatible with most any cooking knife, Glide is the mighty little helper you didn’t know you needed until right… now.
A big proponent of flavor, inventor Calea Kevlin loves using garlic and hot peppers in her cooking, but grew frustrated at having to clean these messy ingredients off a knife blade with her finger, leading to everything from stinky garlic hands to hot pepper in the eye (ouch!). Her ingenious solution was an instant hit with the Quirky community, and after a little refinement from 4147 influencers, Glide is now ready to make its mark in the war against garlic hands.
