What about images that do not reside on any web server?
Shouldn't we be able to post these too?
Just upload them to an image hosting site, and link as per above.

I am having a hard time inserting my picture into the allowed pimping zone. I have typed all formulas to insert this image. After hitting save, I then come back and take a look to see if it worked and it did not even save the formula...what am I doing wrong.

You need to reference the actual image file... That's a URL, not an image. Even when trying to right-click to see the true image source, it shows as a PHP file (also won't work). You'll have to upload it with some other service.
Just checking to see if I can insert an image here... couldn't in other threads today.

It doesn't appear that you are allowed inserting HTML in the forums but it does work on product comment sections.
Just as JAndre mentioned you can use this:
<img src="http://www.YourWebSite.com/YourImage.jpg" width="450" />
@Brad...thanks...however I have been inserting that formula for about 4 hours of trying LOL and cannot get it too work..I even tried generating a link (which worked on the generator page) but not in the comments. UGGG..I guess I will email quirky for help.
