Idea for faster navigation on Voting
Overall, I find the voting very user friendly. Where it gets time consuming in on the Tagline and Name voting stages. I have a simple suggestion that should help immensely.
Here are the current sort choices: (suggestions below)
CURRENT:
ALL
My Ideas
My Favorites
My Rated
My Unrated
My Commented on
I have 3 suggestions, but only the first is a necessity in my view, but this may help get people thinking
My Top 25 or 10 by combined rating *****
My Top 10 by Functionality
My Top 10 by Brand-ability
I hope these help. This simple addition would really save time and finalize their votes. Others please share your sort ideas.

I've seen a couple of ways Quirksters keep track of the ideas they like (especially when there are hundreds of submissions for name or tagline, etc.).
I will always leave a comment on the ideas I like. Then I later review just the ideas I liked (well, plus other ideas I commented suggestions to though I didn't especially like the idea) by selecting "my commented on". The downside is that this is kinda a misuse of the comment function - I think that comments are best used for sharing ideas.
Another way people keep track is to only rate the ideas they like. Then they later review just the ideas they liked by selecting "my rated". The downside is that this is kinda a misuse of the rating function - Quirky uses the ratings along with the votes to help them decide which idea to use (so I always rate all the ideas).
These methods are certainly not as good as something like a "like" function. But they might help you keep track of ideas until a "like" function is available.
The nice thing about a "Top 25 by my combined rating" function would be that it rewards Quirksters for rating all the ideas.

I would like the option for taglines and names to work like my email. I don't want to read 95% because it is a huge waste of time, energy and focus. I would rather save that for product ideas. When there are over 60 entries it will be doubtful for me to view all. My idea would be to sort the things alphabetically and hope lilke entries will be grouped relatively close together. Once sorted then i can go down the line an put an x next to the ones i don't care for. This would keep the qty of entries down to a manageable level. At the same time, have the opportunity to rate and vote for the ones i do like.

I have the impression that many users just submit 3 ideas, no matter if they think it´s a good one or not. Due to that we always have 200-300 suggestions of which maybe 10% would really work. So I think you should charge a dollar or so for each entry in the product naming and tagline phase, that way people only suggest those ideas they really think could win. So we would have a much higher quality in those ideas to choose from.

The biggest pain for me with the tagline and name voting is having to click through about 10 pages to see them all, the pages each seem to take forever to load. As Quirky becomes more popular this is only going to get worse. Two things would help improve this: Formatting (smaller fonts and a table rather than a list structure) and a View All option.
The second thing is when submitting a tagline or name, without going through the above mentioned pages, you can't see if something similar has already been submitted. I have seen a few duplicate entries, which split the votes. Some kind of block to prevent identical entries and highlight similar entries as you are typing would be good. The functionality is there in Google Suggest.

Maybe a way of doing a word search to
for example if you remember the phrase, can do a search almost like Google to quickly find it

Great suggestions, guys. We've had lots of feedback on improving our naming/taglining process, and it's one of our top priorities moving forward. In the meantime, Clinton's suggestions are great -- so great, in fact, that I'll include them in a blog post later this week. Keep it coming!
