Guess we're in for another industrial design round where we can "meld" all these together, or maybe not. Maybe Quirky design team which seems to be very enthusiastic, takes another stab at it, and does the design. And all we got to do is to figure which name suits it best. I think this one is a done deal, since we're now coming up with a good name for something we have no idea how it is going to look like and what the functions are.

Anybody want to use the names "Pulltopia"? "MetropolAss" (as in the beast of burden)?

@Kaari, I agree that submitting and selecting names, taglines, and logos is easier when we know how the product is going to look and function. But not impossible. IMO, the function of names, taglines, and logos is to identify the product, both by attracting attention to it and describing it. Since it's hard to describe the cart, I'm focusing more on the "attracting attention" function of the name.

I am more amazed at how the staff picks these four in particular to create the winner, when the end product can and most likely will be a combination of not only these "select" carts, but a couple dozen others that "share" similar attributes. So if you change one winning idea submittal to something quite different from the original submission, why would you complicate it with four winners - especially from an influence earning standpoint. (Does that make sense to anyone)?

Yup it does. I think that we've seen a few examples of what the original submission was and what actually got out to be sold are two very different things. Not necessarily bad per se, but it makes you wonder about the role of the vaunted Quirky community when it comes to design. Not to mention, the influence we earn, or not.
