Congrats. The design looks great. Very nice product. Good luck with it!
Neat concept but how does it work actually? I assume the vibrating device has some sort of battery. Does it connect to the base via wifi or bluetooth? Or does the base and the vibrating units have independent alarms. i.e. the base goes off automatically 2 minutes after the vibrating unit goes off independently?
I'm dismayed by the price. A $50 alarm clock? The 'Silent Vibrating Personal Alarm Clock' is $13 on Amazon.
Would have liked to participate in the CMF round...oh well, looks great!!
It costs as much as their toilet plunger! Who comes up with these numbers, someone on crack?
The winner in concept was "Pop Alarm" but they actually leaned toward was one I voted for, "Clip On".
It's a nice ring tray.
so now there is a wireless device, i am not so happy with this because you should avoid wireless devices near or in the bed (radiation).
.
actually if you have a wireless home-phone base on you night stand you get 1000 time more radiation than if you have your cell-phone on it.
i find it funny that they named a silent device "chirp". doesn't make a lot of sense to me (something silent with a name that is a audible noise)... but oh-well, maybe someone here can explain what i'm missing.
But, how about that awesome tagline!?!?! This is the first time I've won anything here at Quirky! Pretty exciting!!!
.
I almost voted for the name Chirp because I thought it was catchy - then decided against it because the product is a silent alarm. Should have stuck with my first reaction on that one!
.
Maybe Chirp is a play on the sound a vibration makes.
Congrats Claire. That first win IS pretty exciting!
ha...it doesn't even really matter if it sells, does it...just the win is sweet (though we hope it does).
