With CMF going on, I would like you to discuss how do you like the design, not so much from visual point of view (which you can add more on CMF) but from functional aspect. I think the overall design is pretty awesome, at least I would use it for travels. What about contents - currently the caddy has 3 large pockets, 2 flexible straps and one zippered pocket. Is this enough for you? Personally I would put shampoo/conditioner/shaving foam/after shave in the large pockets, razor and toothbrush as depicted into the flexible straps, and toothpaste/ear sticks/floss/plasters in the small zippered one. Not sure where do I put comb or lens liquid. What about you - what you would put in as minimum and maximum? (Data from research are a bit chaotic as they show just one choice which is nonsense
)
.
Please chime in and discuss what you like or don't about the current design. Do you have any recommendations for textile to be used? I will bring this discussion to the attention of my invention ambassador, hopefully that would help making a perfect shower caddy.
.
Please please keep to the subject. Thanks in advance:)

Here is the current design (please ignore color schema - drawing is only for reference, there is nothing to do with mine or your CMF decission)

.
My proposal is to make either drainage holes at the bottom part of the pockets (see drawing B) or make rubber bands (like for razor but wider) - drawing C.

Congrats again Cr. I would reverse the tooth brush and shampoo positions somehow. I wouldn't want shampoo dripping onto my tooth brush. Or have the tooth brush in some sort of waterproof zip lock bag since the caddy is open while showering. Also, I never brush my teeth in the shower. When I need to access the tooth brush, it seems to take too much room on my vanity counter, so maybe better to have side pockets to hold these items instead pockets on the flap. Cheers.

Good points Denny, maybe the toothbrush could be attachable in a zip pouch, on the upper level right inside, I agree with you. Also, I think there needs to be another stitch of bands to hold the razor and ?? in place so when you zip it closed they don't flop around. I like your B, drain holes idea and think that makes this more unique. Lastly, maybe combine your B idea of draining with their pockets idea and make those out of mesh to solve both purposes. Looking forward to buying this thing!

Yes, very good points Denny!
.
Besides side pockets, the toothbrush could reside in the additional zippered pocket on the other (top) side of the flap so it could be used when bag is closed

My current caddy is opposite to the proposed one - the thinner part (with mesh pockets for tiny items) is handing at the top and the heaviest part with bottles goes down.

.
But with the suction cups as the main holders of this caddy it is better to do as in the current design - suction cups hold the top heaviest part and the lighter flap hangs down.

@uniqueideas thank you, yes, probably there needs to be a second row of bands.

This should come with a waterproof bag to slip it in--when you take a shower the morning you are going to leave, everything is still going to be wet if it hangs under the shower head. Then you need to stick it in your suitcase--wet! Make sure the pockets are as drainable as possible. Awesome drawings, btw.

@Elizabeth thanks, but actually it IS going under direct shower, that's one of two main points of this product (the other is that it should be holded primary by the suction cups). Definitely the main attention should be focused on waterproof, water-resistant materials, good drainage and fast drying feature. And I think the zipped compartment will remain dry.

Any way to include a small angled "visor" over the top section of the bag? It would help to shield the contents of the bag somewhat.

Probably it's a good idea to add a mirror?

If this is actually being used for travel, the bottles will not contain more than 4oz of liquid to begin with.

Here in Europe in airplanes it's allowed to carry liquids in containers smaller than 100 ml (around 3.4 oz). Probably this caddy is not primary meant for air travelers but more for campers, but anyway that would be a limit. My shampoo bottle usually is around 250 ml big, while I was told that this caddy will hold 600 (!) ml bottles.

Maybe a slip in pocket to add a mirror if you want to kinda like for your wallet showing your I.D.

Ms. Lemming read my mind... A visor to prevent water entering the bag. Also agree with .... If you depart on a trip just after showering, no time to drip dry through the Holes and other things could get wet... Maybe just the holes could be flapped shut in those cases? Def. need a mirror... Fog free coating if possible. OR, maybe a plastic tray at the bottom for gooey bar of soap and wet washcloth, etc and to catch drips. Finally, what of the bag opened sideways instead of up and down... To stay flatter against the wall? Good luck Cromium, or whatever Cr means! ;-).
