Put the links to your ideas in your profile, that may attract a few votes.

dont worry, it does not matter how many votes and/or comments you have in order to get picket by Q. if your idea fits that what Q is looking for, then you will have a chance to win even with 0 votes.
if i would be you i would save my energy for the time my idea has won and then to promote the product at facebook/twitter...

OK, so votes don't count but, unless they have already submitted the wining product, people will still appreciate considered comments to help improve the pitch won't they?

Hi, my name is Robert and I have been trying to get votes and figure out how to get a link and attach it to my profile. I've been reading that is the best pratice. What I am hearing here is that votes don't count so does a link realy help either??

Robert, quirky are not infallible - they cannot instantly spot the best ideas from the thousands that are pouring in at the moment. Providing an idea meets their target markets, quirky would be short-sighted to continue to ignore an idea that the community has started to engage with. It has been referred to as traction. Some ideas don't get picked until they have nearly expired. Quirky cannot have a schedule for this.
Engage with people... start to give and get feedback now... it might be all that you are left with at the end of the day.

I think patience is key. Your idea will make it through to the other side via the ending soon tab and if it is good and attractive, people will comment, but I think ultimately the call will be Quirky's whether you have 10 votes and comments or 100. A great example happened recently, someone had their idea in UC with over 200 comments and I guess quirky kicked it to the curb.

I have 40 votes in the first 3 days then nothing for 2 days. Is this because there is 300 new ideas in front of mine now? Is this normal? Will Q wait til the last of 30 days to even look at my idea?

Quirky team members look at ideas in rotating shifts. So they dont get tired. Looking at ideas can drain alot of energy as you know we all do it. Ideas that Quirky staff look at are flagged and then reviewed by other quirky staff and that is how they narrow down the ideas.

Personally I don't tweet or Facebook my ideas, I feel that the idea itself should attract interest. I'm not sure though if it's ethical to use the comment box rather than the reply tab on your idea page, commenting circulates in the community page and can get noticed.

I posted something on facebook but then I read that everyone who votes must be a quirky member so I quit but I would love to know who to get some comments/votes/views- I know home decor is probably a death knell but hey, that is the category that the product I submitted it in works and is appropriate but I am so discouraged that I am not getting hardly any comments either. And to Jesse, the product I submitted had 30 votes in a couple of days and then Friday hit, I went to facebook/quirky and found out that many people withdraw their votes on Friday- we are back up to 31 but that isn't very many. I was reading about the "flood" of new ideas pouring in and I am thinking my timing was lousy but I did not even know about quirky till I read the yahoo page/news. I had read that when quirky staff is looking at a product, that product will "disappear" from the queue till it is put back in, is that true? Does anyone know this for sure? I am looking forward to being a quirky member but I sure wish I could get quirky community interested in the product. Also, does anyone know the day that several companies will "shut down in protest" for the sopa bill? I hear that if there is a whisper of "piracy" that will shut down an internet site-Well, any information anyone here might have and share would be greatly appreciated.

I have a dog collar idea. I went and messaged everyone that commented on another dog collar idea and am waiting to see how it works. I came here to find others that are pet inclined to do the same. Good luck all!
