A lot of people here leave useless comments simply to post a link to their own entry.

It seems that a lot of posters leave saccharine messages for every single invention just for the purpose of self-promotion.

Voting for someone for the sole purpose that you hope they will vote for you defies the whole purpose of voting to identify a worthy idea. These people also cannot honestly point out the negatives because again they want someone to give them a vote in return.

Quirky should prevent including links to other quirky entries when people comment, it messes up the whole process.

Thumb down their comments and tell them not to do it because its worthless anyway. Its all we can do for now.

Agreed. So frustrating. I make it a rule not to comment unless I have something to say.

I am new here, but noticed this problem right away.

So, can I promote my idea here? No. OK. I'll go make more useless comments and needback my idea.

@PenisIntrovert or whatever. I know and I hate it. My last idea I actually put in the description. "Do Not Pimp your own idea here" but then took it down. I was worried it would affect the number of votes. I personally do not needback and I discourage all from doing it. I thin Q will fix this soon.

@EW. Somebody needs to trademark the term "needback". It perfectly describes what goes on. Whomever came up with that, I salute you.

It is also odd that a lot of people state that they voted, what purpose does that serve? In the case of "needbacking" it is likely to be a lie since spreading your votes everywhere is an influence losing activity. I am thinking that all the "needbacking" comments stating they voted are probably lying.

Ignore the comments. Now I get emails of people asking me to check out their ideas. I delete these emails.
