Not much. I'd have to do the math. But my estimate would be about 50 cents, max, after a year. I was trying to find the calculator to help you out, but I forgot where it is.

Its really not much at all. You can check this thread where I did some calculations on how much you could have earned to date on some Quirky products if you had 0.01% on them and it wasn't very much for most of them. 0.0002% would be pretty much nothing unless the product turned out to be a huge hit.

Your .0002% is your part of the 10% the community gets from Quirky's sales income.

For example, here's what you would have gotten with .0002% in Quirky's best selling product, Pivot Power.

I'd guess Quirky wholesales Pivot Power for about $10.
So, Quirky's sales income for the 187,000 they've sold is about $18,700,000.

Of that, the community has gotten 10%, or about $187,000.

If you would have had .0002% influence in that $187,000, you would have gotten about 37 cents.

Wow, that's shocking. What is the point of giving out such useless pieces of influence?

So 0.002 equal 3.70, 0.02 equal 37.00 and 0.2 equal 370.00...ufff

In 10,000,000 years you might have enough to buy a cheese sandwich:(

The idea is to grow your income as Quirky grows the company and then one day you might have enough extra money per year to go on a weeks vacation some where nice

$0.37 on the best selling product on quirky, out of dozens. So more like four pennies on an average product.

The key is to submit.
The person who submitted the name "Pivot Power"...about $6500.

IMO the next step Quirky needs to take is "reward" voters beyond the tiny bits of influence %.

Seth Godin once wrote that people work for 7 reasons, only one of which is money.
Which of those other 6 motivators can Quirky add to the system?

Time to think outside of the Quirky box.

Thank you all. I look at it as free money for supporting others.
