I see that the final product changed from the CMF winner "Grey and Quirky Blue Trim" to the final version of White and Quirky Blue Trim. I wonder if influence will be adjusted because of the change.

NOO!!!! Not suction cups!!!! I hate shower items with suction cups!!! They all fall down. Sorry Imants. Just my opinion. I liked your original idea better where the suction cups was just added security but not the main way to hold the item up.
.
Also the suction cups way too small. They need to be the levered suction cups for better hold.

No, Denny, my original idea was just like that - suction cups are primary holder of the caddy. I suggested a lot of research/materials regarding suctions cups to my IA and it was confirmed that they work just perfect so I rely on that!

I thought your original idea was hangs on the shower head with suction cups at the back.

.
I would suggest this type of suction cup instead.

Since the product needs to be tight enough to hold all the weight yet easily removed at the same time. So the best way around it is to have a suction cup that can tighten and release the suction

Yes, that is what I told my IA. As far as I understand there will be a separate testing when tooling the parts, but they tried with these small suction cups and said it worked well.
.
BTW, here is my original image for reference

.
The image that you put first, Denny, is already from CMF which was designed by Quirky. And the handle hanger is still present in the released version so you can hook it up as well. The original idea was to design a shower caddy that could be used in situation where there are no hooks for hanging.

It's a great idea, let's hope Quirky can execute the idea properly and put appropriate suction cups on it.

I have something very similar to this that I use when traveling. It is more for holding things, but opens the same way. Vessel is a nice idea.

My issue: I don't trust suction cups. I've had things fall and break when they don't work well. Denny has the right idea with the lever ones - atleast there would be a bit more security. I'd also be concerned with the wall being wet already and not being able to get suction. I think a hook for over the shower rod would be a useful addition.

Cool idea. . . Not a fan of the suction cups. At all. Hope it turns out well!

Suction cups do not adhere to soap scum walls.

I think it takes to long to use suction cups. I don't mind them as a secondary way to secure it, but I would rather it just hang over the shower head.

@stazy @Fred @Carla @DFQ it's all about perception and past experience. I know it's hard to change so this might be an uphill battle, but it's worth to go!
.
@DFQ what if you don't have the shower head?
