It takes like 8 hours for a new entry to go into retirement.

You got like 8 hours to get all your votes, before your entry is just so far down the list nobody will ever see it or hear about it. Unless of course you are willing to beg like a dog on every other entry.

I would say it takes a day (if people come and vote daily). I wish they would just go back to weekly submissions instead of this rolling monthly stuff.

A day at the most is all you have to get votes. I would guess that most people that come to Q do it randomly and do not check submissions 2 or 3 times a day to make sure they did not miss any. I do that so I don't miss any cool ideas and so I know if somebody is trying to rip off one of my ideas.

I am relatively new here, but it is my opinion that you get "eyeballs" on your Ideation for about 5 hours after you submit it, and then for another 5 hours when it is in the "Ending Soon" category.

It sounds like you have more insight into this (I've been saying 2 to 3 days, just for the benefit of the doubt). The way the system is working, beta or not, this issue would keep going on unless people at QHC pay attention.

There is an upcoming town-hall meeting and an open thread for questions, it sounds like the perfect opportunity to push on this: http://www.quirky.com/forums/topic/8635
