Cleaning oil and various sauces used during cooking off the counters, stove top, and wall by your stove is NOT FUN. If you have glossy counters, you shouldn't use anything abrasive because you can dull the gloss, and oil really cakes on there. Stove tops and walls are just plain tricky.

The best way to keep this area CLEAN, is to PREVENT it from getting dirty in the first place.

My proposed Splatter Screen will cover your pan completely when you need it to, but when you need to access the pan, it flips up to surround it, protecting from splatters and reducing cleaning time and energy.
