I like what you did with the rough design with the usb ports.

I know we could add some clips or something not messy or tacky for wire management....

this is really cool design. though there are lots of room for improvement say, keyboard rails, a LED light from the inside, more USB ports so that most of the usb flash drives, mouse, keyboard, and other pheriperals are all be plugged in to one. and lastly, a more appealing design over simple looks should be take into consideration. thanks.

Few additions you might want to consider:
1)Make it retractable so can get it out of the way quickly if need be.
2)Add a touch pad/wacom tablet to one part of the garage.
3)As someone said earlier, neonish light (few leds will do the trick) under the garage will look cool.
3)they HAVE to come white, black and Aluminum colors for it to go with all the existing computer systems.. it should stand not out as a grotesque afterthought.

PLEASE put stacks of USB slots running down the outer sides of the garage... and spaced apart not too close... nothing more annoying than having two slots on my keyboard and five things to attach..., mouse, camera, light, ipod, phone... etc etc... looking forward to seeing a slick device produced... i dont like the round feet left and right... love the rectangular ones in the prototype... white, or grey plastic is fine... brushed aluminium just scratches and pits... also if some thought can be put into an easy idea for raising and lowering it... it might then aide the use of it with lots of keyboards... not just the Apple slick KBoard. Then you can sell it to everyone. Not just us Appley lot. Awesome !

Great idea! I would suggest making the bottom of the two stands rubberized so that it doesn't move around too easily on a desk. You might also make it extendable so that the length can be customized.

    Final Entry...
This reminds me of the TV show "Survivor", and the vote at the final tribal council. Enjoyed all the feedback. (Actually enjoyed responding to the negative ones!)

No words of wisdom. Just a good luck handshake to all that entered.

I could definitely use a product like this.

I think a dock for an iPod/iPhone on the top surface on one side (so as to not obstruct the view of the monitor) would be a great addition to the keyboard garage.

As an iPhone user, I charge my phone exclusively on my computer (through USB). Charging through my computer has the added bonus of automatically updating my phone.
