Hello everyone...I have been in the middle of a move hence the late response... I think this is a cool concept, however the iPod Nano has no camera! Right? This being said, it seems to me it might just defeat the purpose of the flash feature...I suppose for video it might be of use but I really don't think the product will fly as well as Beamer has because people carry their phone at all times whereas the iPod nano is not used quite as consistently.
In addition, I don't blame anyone for trying to ride the Beamer train...it is a pretty cool product with an amazing market potential:)
Hey guys, thanks again for your comments. I am not opposed to sharing influence or anything of the sort, but I do believe if I am given a lesser stock in the product I should not have to pay $99 for this. I sent Quirky an email with my thoughts on the matter, and hopefully they can help set a precedent for future product ideators. Keep the comments coming!
I'm interested to see what Jenny (Beamer creater) thinks about this product. I think her comments could shed some light on some of the concerns that have been expressed above, such as ultimate credit for the idea and a way to potentially "share" royalties...
Does this really need to go through naming, logo design etc...? Shouldn't all that stuff be consistent with the already existing Beamer product.
Seems to me it would be a waste of money to try to market this as a new product if all that work has been done for Beamer and this is simply a different size Beamer.

Water proof case sounds like a good addition.
I would cover the lens and the flash with a plastic cover that would make your iPod Nano waterproof.

No more cases.

@Jenny Tyler, thoughts?
Have it's own battery source that is rechargeable, fits the iPod cradle and serves as auxilary power for the iPod.
Use a multi-colored LED bulb that puts on a randomized lightshow based on the music playing. Could also lend some effect to video being shot.
