I really just caught up on this one and I'm certain someone has raised this question, but I didn't see it in the comments. How is this significantly different, cheaper or better than the existing options? Specifically, what would entice someone to purchase this product over any of the Fit n Fresh products that already do the same thing and provide more options? Specifically, why is this Breakfast 3Go better than the Fit n Fresh Breakfast Chiller? http://www.fit-fresh.com/products/transportation/breakfastchiller.php
I have mixed feelings on this. It seams like just another storage container and most people I know have way too many already. The cold part is good, but you can always use an insulated cup for the milk. What would be neat, would be something that you could drink your cereal out of while driving to work (no spoons needed). I have several friend who used to drink their cereal from a cup on the way to work, but I don't like soggy cereal. So if there was a container that kept them separate until you were ready to drink your cereal that would be very handy.
Umm, can we make it automatically call the cops if you use it while driving?! The cupholder thing makes me a bit nervous that this would be used by idiots while driving.
On the other hand if you can only use it while parked, are there enough people around who would not just eat the cereal at home as opposed to parking their car somewhere to eat?
I only like it for those that take it to work as well. It should be designed to keep people from eating in their cars. Last thing I want is to have someone swerving into me because they are worried their clothed might get yogurt on them.
Reminds me of the person that cut me off nearly hitting my car (if I didn't slam on the brakes she would have) and almost hit a concrete block where the expressway split. She was too worried about her cell phone in her left hand and cigarette, coffee cup and pinky finger on the steering wheel in her right hand to worry about her life or anyone else while driving on a busy highway.
I do like this idea - for taking to work. It speaks loudly to the person on the go. However, it bothers me that people are actually eating (with a fork) while driving. This could be worse than texting! : ) I would go with a balance bar in the car and have a more substantial meal when arriving to said destination.
Temperature is key. If you're transporting fruit or milk, you've got to keep it cold, particularly if the commute is longer than a few minutes. Maybe a freezer pack insulator or lining for the milk piece?
The Container Store has a very similar product - it even looks like it would fit in a cup-holder. The only thing it doesn't have is a fruit compartment: http://www.containerstore.com/shop/kitchen/foodontheGo/foodContainers?productId=10022692

Oh yeah and that was eating in their cars while driving. Maybe require them to keep all ten fingers on the container to keep it open. :)
But really if they snap or slide together it may be nice so you could pour milk on cereal side.

I'd add that it should be dishwasher-safe, and be safe for holding food (obviously)...like BPA-free, etc.
> the lid must be easy to remove while driving
Please tell me your commute route so I can avoid it.
For this reason I think it should _not_ fit in a cup holder. If you eat while parked the cup holder is not necessary.
