The seam allowance marker is a easy to use sewing tool for professional pattern makers or sewing hobbyist to mark precise seams allowance.

Submitted by: Teree LeSueur

The Description

For those who are not familiar with sewing the seam allowance is the area between the stitch line and the raw edge of the fabric. This area is usually marked by using a ruler, wheel, or pencil, which can sometimes lead to mis-marking or just be a bit cumbersome. However, this new tool can alleviate these problems. This seam allowance marker is easy to use, all you would do is place the wheel on the pattern outline and the seam allowance will be marked as you "trace" around the pattern providing you with a precisely measured seam allowance. Moreover, this marking tool is refillable and can be filled with ink or lead cartridges, which can be used when marking seams on paper patterns, or disappearing ink cartridges, which can be used when marking seams on fabric that will be sewn. Additionally, the width of the markings can be adjusted from 1/4" to 1 1/2" just by placing the wheel or cartridge into the proper insertion points.
