Reinventing the match, reinventing a lifeline. Simplifying the process of lighting a match.

Submitted by: Thomas Hyland

The Description

It’s a swift and easy way to light a match.

Match in a tube. Either by itself, or in a pack. When the match is pulled out of the enclosure, it’s lit.

The enclosure's inside is the striking service. Just like on the outside of a match book.

Packs can vary in shape and size as can the tubes.

A simple hollow tube with a striking service coating the inside could be used to light current style matches. (Tear the match out, insert ripped end fist, pull quickly from opposite side.

Best of all,

Add some flare and class too while lighting that cigar. James Bond style.

The picture is not to scale at all. Imagine the match being the size of a toothpick with the tube not all that much bigger around it. Pretty much the shape of a cigarette but very, very skinny. The orange part being the pull area, breaking away from the white.

The Customer

Anyone who camps, lights candles, smokes, likes emergency energy sources, like to be safe with fire, wants to be “cool” and “different”, anyone who uses anything to light anything.
