Recyclying boxes is difficult due to size. This invention is packing tape with an imbedded "string" that rips the tape and flattens box.
The Problem
Businesses and individuals receive many boxes. However to recycle these boxes they must be flattened to fit into small recycling containers or they need to be flattened so they can be stacked and eventually picked-up for recycling. If the boxes cannot be flattened they will probably not get recycled. The only way to flatten boxes is to use a razor knife...a dangerous and difficult task...and many people do not have a razor knife
The Solution
People can pull the "string" and immediately, safely and easily rip the tape in half and then slack the boxes for recycling. It will lead to an increase in recycling. The tape could be marketed as "green tape" and be green in color. It would also advertise the environmental awareness of participating merchants.
Key Features
- Tabs imbedded in the tape could be grabbed by fingers and pulled to separate the tape, flattening the box
