A wireless floating device that detects the chemical levels of your pool/spa and sends results to your smartphone. No more test strips!

The Problem

Standard spa/pool test strips can be very inaccurate as well as costly over the life span of your pool/spa maintenance.In addition to inaccurate level readings, it is difficult to decipher how much of a particular chemical to add. Neglecting to test your water on a consistent basis, can lead to your levels jumping drastically leaving you with a cloudy mess.

The Solution

Lilypad is intended to be a simple and beautifully designed form that would also serve as a fully functional piece of technology — replacing the use of paper test strips.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
To start, a user would download the Quirky/Lilypad app, turn on the device, place in the water and sync* with their smartphone. You would then enter key information such as how many gallons your pool/spa has, bromine vs. chlorine, etc.

(*The chord shown in the photo could also be an option for set up/sync process if needed.)

WHAT IF I HAVE A POOL AND SPA?
There would be different sizes for pools/spas. The Quirky/Lilypad app would allow you to sync multiple devices to one app.

WHO WOULD USE THIS?
- Any pool/spa owner.
- Any pool/spa maintenance company. It would allow them to manage multiple pool/spas from the app.

  • Run water tests as often as you would like from your phone
  • Through the settings, you may also have these taken automatically
  • Works for both Chlorine and Bromine
  • Sends an alert to your phone when levels are high or low
  • If water levels are high/low, the application will suggest which chemicals and how much to add based on the amount of water in your pool/spa.
  • Set up multiple pools/spas
  • Results are automatically logged by date allowing you to keep track of your levels over time.
