If I'm interpreting the design correctly, this already exists.

I have no idea what the whole beach towel design at the top of your pdf has to do with the pant hanger design. Like most of the others, I've never had a problem hanging my pants on regular hangers or the pinch clip hangers. Sorry, I'm not in support of your idea.

I think he used a template and accidentally left the first page as it was.

Flats that don't try to crush the pant cuff would be great. Also, I'd rather the cuff not flop around, as the clean look is half of my attraction to flat pant-hangers.

The drawings do not look like I thought from the text description. If the drawings are accurate then I suggest a little redesign as having the two arms which close on the trouser legs being the bottom part of an open loop is likely to pose problems.
Perhaps if you use two complete loops which close together using the same one hand spring loaded system, the force on the fabric will be more uniform, it will hold better, and cover the entire width of the garment, which the item in the drawings doesn't appear to do.
Actually, no loops at all would be best. Just long flats like a stretched out bag clip.

I like the one-hand-open function, though I think a side thumb lever (like a curling iron) might feel more natural to me.

I want my stuff neat in the closet, sorry this wouldn’t work for me. But my gf would probably love it. Haha.

There is definitely room in the market for a better hanger for pants - though it's hard to tell if this is it or not.

I agree with the design requirements - make a hanger that can be operated with one hand.

The technical drawings don't make it clear to me whether this would work or not.

I'd suggest that you try building a prototype and getting it to work the way you want, then submit photos and/or video of it in action.

I refuse to hang my trousers over a bar.
While I don't agree it takes 3 hands to hang up pants, Standard grip trouser hangers can be frustrating to align the cuff with the hanger AND close the hook.
If the spring can be made adequately strong, I think the chip clip could work. I'd see myself holding the trousers next to my chest and allow the cuff to fold away from me towards the floor. Then with the other hand, open the chip clip, insert the cuffs and I'm done.
I'd buy it. I'd buy lots of them.
