Traditional drying racks work well but can't come with you when you travel and even for home use they take up a lot of storage room. Bathroom ‘hanging’ situations can be different in each property. You need to be prepared ‒ and organized! Hotels don’t always seem to have a convenient way to dry more than a handful of clothes and items such as sweaters are rarely catered to. Campsites, RVs and boats offer their own unique challenges which all require flexible problem solving.
The solution needs to be small and lightweight, but still strong and flexible enough to handle a variety of laundry needs both at home and when travelling.
‘Hangout’ your hand-washables with this space-saving, high capacity, laundry drying system. Each four inch square offers plenty of room to fit a bra, pair of panties or hosiery, allowing them to dry quickly and hygienically. A set of small clothespins can be used for hanging shirts, bathing suits, or other clothing items.
‘Hangout’ comes with a small range of accessories including simple snap hooks, powerful locking suction cups and adjustable ties, making it fully customizable to accommodate any hanging scenario. The main image shows a common situation where the net is attached to the shower rail with snap hooks and hangs down by five feet approximately. The free end is attached to the wall using powerful locking suction cups that hold the net diagonally over the tub to catch all the drips. When the net is configured horizontally across the tub, sweaters or other delicates can be dried directly on top. A semi permanent arrangement (that doesn’t affect the operation of the home shower) can be rigged by placing the net at the far end of the bath, away from the shower and partially hidden by the shower curtain.
When not in use, the net folds down very compactly and is stowed in its zippered bag along with accessories and soaps. The bag also includes a separate section for dirty undies when travelling. 'Hangout' fits easily into carry-on luggage and regular sized bathroom cabinets. A light weight, high strenght, type of clamps with rubberized teeth can be considered in place of the snap hooks, making the design more versatile to clamp on anything (without damaging or scratching the surface) other than the shower curtain rails, clamps will also stay in place when weighed down by damp clothes.
