Awesome, fun, fresh idea.
But maybe you could use a colour changing paper, or make them in limited sets.
Everyone wants something when it's in limited sets :)
and maybe if you also make non-light mini versions, for ipods, or iphones.
Most people who follow a trend or a design want to incorporate it whenever possible.
And if it was a three pack, they could be sed interchangebly.
Originally that was the concept - just a sticker working off of the existing light on the back of a Mac laptop. However, I see your point and your suggestion of integrating a light of its own into the design is a good one.
Could someone please clarify... Is this sticker going to have its own lights, or is it going to stick to the apple on a mac laptop?
If it is just going to use the existing light from the mac logo, it will have a very small consumer market... Apple is only 5% of all computers, and a lot of the apple users like the piece of fruit on their laptop.... Then you have to figure that some of the mac market is in desktops too (without lights). Essentially 2.5% of computer users will actually want to buy this, and that 2.5% will have be searching for it. Well you figure that many people of that 2.5% wont be searching for it, so that lowers your pre-sale market to a mere 1.0% of computer users.
Now if this has its own light, your market gets MUCH larger (People could use it as a bumper sticker, put it on their laptop, desk, wall, windows, etc).
Soo.. Please clarify. Does this have its own light or does it use the apple light?
looks sleek but....
