Design Brief
A retail partner is asking us to make an iPad stand that fits into any existing cup holder. Here is the Quirky design brief:
• Must have the functionality of holding an iPad. Depending on the final design, could possibly hold other tablets too.
• Must fit the majority of cup holders (car, treadmill, golf cart, etc).
• Must allow user to position the iPad in a variety of useful positions and angles.
• Must allow user to easily position in specific landscape, portrait and typing positions.
• We would consider doing powered and non-powered versions (i.e. one that contains electronics and directly allows charging of the iPad and one that does not contain electronics and allows user to just use their own charging cable)
• Design should reflect the simplicity and usability of Apple products.

Influence:
Since we there won’t be an evaluation phase, the 50% influence that’s normally divvied up during evaluation is going to be split up amongst the various design phases.

We’re going from sketch to store in one week on this one. Each phase is going to only last around a day, so make sure to check back frequently and participate as much as possible.
