New and Improved Pizza Cutter, with double crust cutters and comfort handle. Every home has one, why not sell them one that works.

Submitted by: Copper

The Problem

I have two pizza cutters, and neither of them really works properly. Both have long handles and are uncomfortable to use, and they don't really cut the pizza very well, nor do they cut the crusts the first time through (crust is the hardest part).

With the long handles, I have to exert extra pressure on that handle (the pressure transfers to the cutter), and I still sometimes don't get enough pressure to cut through the pizza the first time.

I also always have to roll back and forth over the crust to cut through (sometimes more than twice).

YES, they manufacture a lot of pizza cutters. I even found one cutter that has a crust cutter. They all lack that efficiency that would make pizza cutting (soon to be an Olympic sport) for everyone.

I also believe that by just throwing a pizza cutter into your drawer, not only will you nick the blade, but the cutter is as dangerous as your sharpest knife.

The Solution

Introducing the New and Improved Pizza Cutter with DOUBLE crust cutter and comfort handle, so anyone can slice through pizza AND the crust easily.

Let's start with the pizza cutter blades. There is the typical sharp wheel (every pizza cutter has one of these). What's special about this pizza cutter is the DOUBLE crust cutters (one on either side of the pizza cutter wheel). These crust cutters lead the rolling cutter wheel into the crust, slicing the crust FIRST, allowing the pizza cutting wheels to "follow" that slice and roll and cut right through the crust, THE FIRST TIME.

There are crust cutters on BOTH sides of the wheel, so you can start in the middle of the pizza, and slice away from you, and if you feel dangerous, pull it back through the cut and slice through the crust on the other side of the pizza. I know it is NOT recommended that you pull the blade back towards you (I usually pull back through at an angle away from my body, but backwards), however, if you pull to the side, this makes this process MUCH easier. Spin your pizza and do it again.

This pizza cutter also makes slicing that one piece of pizza in half a lot easier.

Next is the comfort handle. The handle itself is easy to grip, but the best feature of this new and improved pizza cutter is the location of the handle, ABOVE THE CUTTER. With the handle above the cutter, instead of exerting pressure on the long handle of existing pizza cutters, that transfer this pressure to the cutting blade (losing tons of force), you actually exert the pressure on the blade, making it easier to cut through the pizza.

Now, who wants a sharp knife blade in a drawer that kids can easily reach and possibly cut themselves on (or yourself). Snap on this finger/blade protecting cover and throw it in your drawer. It lays flat, so it doesn't take up too much room.

It is EASY to clean as the space around the blade is empty, turn your cutter over, run hot water through it or you can easily put this in your dishwasher, as it will be dishwasher safe.

Key Features

  • Pizza cutter with double crust cutters (one on either side of the blade) for easy pizza cutting
  • Comfort handle, handle is above blade, so no force is lost when pushing down on the cutter
  • Cutter cover, cover it up while it's in your drawer to reduce the risk of cutting yourself on the blade
  • Easy pizza cutting, start in the center, push forward, cut pizza and right through the crust, pull back and do the same

Product Comparison

  • Tons of pizza cutters, even one with a crust cutter (but only on one side of the blade and looks hard to use)
