i been came up with this idea i am in the process of getting it patenten by Davison invention company look it up but hey if you patent it before me good luck great minds think alike
A number of years ago, Kimberly Clark (makers of Kleenex, etc.) developed a wet toilet paper dispenser. They spent millions of dollars developing it and it never went anywhere. The idea sounds great, but if they couldn't make it work, I doubt we could.
Building on Michael Mattox's idea. I like the holder hanging down and using the existing roller. What if the holder accommodated a standard box of wipes. Kind of like a hommock.
This has been done over and over in various designs. I thought of it a long long time ago and researched it. Another friend also thought of several years ago and another friend mentioned he had "this great idea" recently as well. Yes the same one. Maybe if someone doesn't infringe on any of the valid patents and it's marketed by a large paper company it will go somewhere but seriously this one should be retired at this point. Too much risk and not enough reward here.... And is it really a problem to reach behind you for anything? Or in front / to the side of you if you have any table or storage there?
Rather than removing the dry paper, have hooks that attach to the dry paper spool allowing the wet wipes to hang in your plastic dispenser just below. That way you have easy access to both the Dry for the Wipe and the wet for the touch up. Good idea!
Have to echo most. A combo would be necessary given the design of most bathrooms. We're taking a bit of a dispenser spin, huh Quirksters? Bags, wipes, . . . :)
Good luck, D.A.
if i understand you right you'll need a second holder for dry papers, right?
thinking of the fact that most toilets have a styled design. this means you should buy an additional holder in the same design to have one for dry and one for wet. therefore, imho Martijn is right, only a combination will work.

Initial round design shown above already patented.
Holder hanging down from existing spindle and box attached is already patented and being marketed.
That's Hammock

I never intended this to be a dual dispenser. Too complicated and, I think, unnecessary.

No, I'm not interested in having a wet/dry combination of toilet papers.
