Trivet Sticks
These are square sticks that can be stored in with your utensil holder. If sold in set of 4 or more can be used to fit any size dish, or baking pan. This product would be easy to store and not take up the much needed counter space. We will let the Quirky Community decide what they should be made of (wood, silicone etc..)

Show AllMmmmm. Not sure I will buy them!
What a shame.
I think the idea of somehow "attaching them" and letting them fan out would be interesting. The last thing I would need (especially with kids who would love to play with them) would be to only have 1 when I pull something out of the oven.
I am thinking about a simple keyring or keychain. Similar to how they attach measuring spoons.
Not only would the ring or chain be useful in the kitchen (if the user chose to leave it on) they also would help at retail for Point of Sale.
I love the idea. Its something that my sisters would love to use.
Really like the silicone funky neon colors. Best wishes!
Great idea - especially in bright colours - I can see them being used under flowers and other areas of the house not just in the kitchen
I love the idea of a bendable trivet! That adds to the functionality and fun. They could be used for any item you wanted airflow or not to touch the table top. Unique too.
Thanks I appreciate the vote
Very unique! Broad application as a trivet beut great for cooling rack for cookie or cake pans as well. You have my vote!
Thanks Sean, I never thought of the cooling rack side of the invention
like Erin Ingraffia mentioned, I could see these made of silicone or similar product and be able to be bent into diffrent shapes and designs.
Initially, I thought that it would be hard to position these so that pots don't just tip over. However, if they were bendable, you could arrange them more easily to balance the pots/plates. The stick concept would definitely be good for taking up less room in a busy drawer and potentially make them easy to stick in the dishwasher.
I made a couple out of wood and tried them and they are very stable. I thought they worked very well
