    The Problem

Difficulty doing other tasks or holding things while using umbrella such as using cell phone or other electronic devices, opening doors , holding dog leashes etc. Limited visibility at night from vehicular traffic and unable to illuminate path, keyholes etc.

    The Solution

K-CO has redesigned the umbrella handle to include an LED light to allow for better lighting to see deep puddles, keyholes, pets(waste removal)and also serves as a safety feature to keep user visible at night. The handle is designed so the user can slip their hand through an integrated strap over the palm, which allows them to have free use of fingers and thumb for holding cell phone and other electronic devices, open car / building doors, hold groceries, pet leashes, etc. Let's make this more user friendly and ergonomically correct. Would be great for those that have physical limitations and arthritic ailments also.

    The Problem

Two problems: 1) I want a working vintage phone, but I have no need for a landline. 2) Many times, when I come home from work (or wherever) I accidentally leave my phone on silent and miss important calls.

    The Solution

An iPhone dock that looks like a vintage phone is the perfect way to have my cake and eat it too. If I remember, I can plug my phone into the dock and receive calls through it that way. If not, the dock's bluetooth capabilities will ensure I won't miss out on those calls anymore--even if my iPhone is on silent.

    The Problem

I worked in several commercial buildings and handled high end security. Working for Sun Microsystems in 1990 I started seeing people from India, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and so on. When talking to them I discovered their country sent them there to (what they claimed) investigates how Sun Microsystems derives at their inventions and creations and that the designs could be plagiarism. What I believed the real truth was to steal ideas taking them and reinventing them in their country. I was surprised the company allowed them on site. What they didn’t know Sun Microsystems did have hidden buildings with no name on them where gaming and other ideas were being designed by smart engineers. Biggest thing that bothered me was design engineers would be hammering away on a computer and either have to use the restroom or run to their superiors to explain what they have unraveled or designed and would run out of their offices at a fast pace. With excitement they would never bring their access cards and or lock their office by propping the door so it will not shut leaving their offices unsecured. Now all their ideas could go down the drain with an imposter sneaking into their offices.

    The Solution

When in a room or office a person always moves. Having a PIR motion device in a room (basically a body is always hotter than the rest of the things like floors and desk in a room) it will constantly trip itself. As the motion trips it will restart a timer never letting it trip the dry contact relay. Once a person exited a room the PIR will never trip allowing the set time setup by a smartphone to trip the dry contact. From this dry contact (also know as a switch) can lock the PC down or set arm an alarm. When the person returns he will just unarm it from the smartphone. Of course any alarms generated the user will be notified text that their office or home has had an entry. The dry contact can be used for a variety of other things listed below. 1.Activate a PC computer lock screen 2.AC over ride if left on set for preset time 3.Turn off/on lights 4.Control Heating/AC turn off 5.Arm a security system(s) 6.Facial Recognition software when intruder are present trip a dry contact to control lighting and camera movement for a preset time and or will detect movement as well as Facial Recognition before tripping it’s output 7.After returning home or work will arm the perimeter of the building after a preset time 8.From glass breakage trip a dry contact for preset time 9.Security Guard alert 10.Turn off/on a Television 11.Turn off/on a stereo 12.Used in conjunction with Surveillance systems The Auto switch can be used for a multitude of functions and applications in automobiles as well as follows. 1.Self activate security system after exit 2.Lock car doors after preset time 3.Set preset time when entering to allow the appropriate operator to bypass security if remote is lost 4.Turn head lights or interior lights off/on for a preset time 5.Car radio will stay on after shutting the engine off as long as a person remains in the vehicle

    The Problem

At the party, you take pictures of people and email it to them later on, but they may not like how they look in the pictures. What if you could have a central panoramic camera that everybody can access with their iPhone?

    The Solution

Picture this: You have a party, you set your "iBall" at the center of the table and turn it on. Inside of it is a camera at the bottom pointing up towards a high quality conical mirror. The result is a 360' panoramic view of everything and person around the table transmitted over your private wifi network. Everyone in the party with an iPhone downloads a free app that allows them to see the panoramic image. They can then scroll with their finger and make a complete 360' revolution, and make a photo of any angle they desire including themselves since they a also sitting at the table. And, there is more. Somebody at the other end of the world to whom you give an access ID and password can also take a picture of anyone at the party using their own device. There is even more: you can even make a video while scrolling so you shot any angle you want in the video

    The Problem

While traveling through the mountains of Colorado last summer, I happened upon an old ghost town and wanted to learn more about it. The only thing I was able to find was a little sign with very little description stating that an old town once existed here. I needed more. I wanted to learn more about my surroundings and was very restricted by the information available to me. It dawned on me that an app, which knew my location via GPS, could give me an audio tour and tell me more about where I was and what historical events transpired there...think Wikipedia meets a museum audio tour. The app could then be expanded to include all sorts of additional travel info (restaurant, hotels, parks, attractions, etc.).

    The Solution

Having an app that follows your location, using your device's GPS and, when enabled, gives you an audio tour of where you are and where you are traveling to. The interface of this app could be used both ways (interactive), similar to Wikipedia, where there would be official (professionally recorded audio content) and user uploaded content (to provide more detail in rural and lesser populated areas). This app could be put on Auto-Mode to alert the user to nearby parks, attractions, historical sites, restaurants and hotels automatically as you move. It stands out from other types of software and apps in that there is an actual audio tour that explains where you are and what is historically interesting or important near you and read to you by professional voice actors and/or actual locals. Users could take pride in uploading their own content and knowledge (that would be verified, similar to Wikipedia). A fun way for contributors to share knowledge about your town, village, city or countryside built right into the app platform allowing you to record right from your iPhone. This app would be education, travel, history and business all wrapped into one interactive platform.
