Very disappointed
I concur with the other reviews.I purchased this specifically to charge my iPhone and iPad at the same time, along with my laptop. I "assumed" that the phone was charging, but when it was time to fly, the phone was dead, and the iPad was semi-charged. Why was I not told this before the purchase? I also bought 6 units for co-workers and will be returning these for the reason above.
Disappointing.
I was quite excited to purchase my first Quirky product, but right out of the box the unit couldn't handle charging my iPad 2 and iPhone 5 – the power pulsed between each USB port, alternating which device it was charging in a rapid succession. I cannot recommend this product, and it has tainted my view of the Quirky brand.
Bought two, both broke
Great idea and design, but terrible manufacturing quality. It's no coincidence that BOTH of my units broke within two months of owning them. The issue is with the USB charger-- one of the units stopped working completely, and the other one pulses power in a way that damages my iPhone/iPad and makes it freak out.
