How about getting an iPhone4? Just sayin :)
I agree with Darren's comment that the light doesn't stay on long enough and will add that the two halves that you push onto the phone don't lock together sufficiently. I carry my phone in my pocket. I either pull the smaller piece off of the phone or it gets left behind in my pocket depending on which end is up. This happens in coat pockets as well. Should have had more of a snap when the to pieces mate together.
I think this could work beautifully if it looked a little more sleek. Right now it embodies a very clunky feeling. The concept of having an LED flash built into a case is genius and I think you will be able expand on the the look even more with personalization or customization similar to what skinit.com does or offer people the ability to customize the outer surface look.
I've order Beamer more than a month ago... Has not arrived yet
I LOVE IT!!! I finally got the Beamer's in and I must say, the light stays on much longer than 4 seconds. It is good for about 6 seconds and is more than enough time to take a good pic and stabilize the shot. NICE WORK QUIRKY! I wasn't initially happy with the change but it is super rad and am pleasantly surprised:)
Not a bad case. The flash portion is novel and works almost as advertised (just 4 seconds, no option for the constant on feature). However the purple is a...unique color. Wouldn't have picked it out myself but I won it in a contest, so beggars/choosers and all that. Also, there seems to be a slight gap in the lower left where the two pieces meet, but that might have been due more to the shipping from the contest to me than the manufacturing (they threw it in a plain manila envelope with no padding or anything. Again, beggars/choosers).
We apologize for the miscommunication this morning. It appears the Today Show made an error on our product pricing. The Beamer is indeed $38, a price that reflects the quality and functionality of the product. We’re grateful that the Today Show brought you to our site, despite the error. Feel free to reach out to us at questions@quirky.com with comments or concerns!
Just saw this on the Today Show with Hoda and Kathie Lee. They had it listed for $19.99 from Quirky.com. What is the true price?
