Show Alla little clear plastic tag could be added where the reason for the injury could be posted or checked off (skiing, fell off bike, car accident, parkour, etc.), to keep the injured person from the inevitable question.
A Martini logo would be a nice design. We are seeing a lot of bartenders getting injured on the job from too much shaking with the rise of classic cocktails. They usually need a sling to rest up their arms. A flask pouch would be a nice touch also (Inside pocket for say a 4-8 oz standard flask). I know a lot of bartenders in the potential market for these
Oh, and casttoo is *not* a competitor - different application.
I'm older and I get achy often. I can't find even a cheap hospital sling at the drugstore (CVS) or discounter (Target), and a ripped-up bedsheet isn't cute or comfortable. This looks wonderful enough to order just to have on hand. So I've committed. OK - but NOW I check to see if it's interchangeable and it's NOT??? Please advise!!
I agree this might be hard to bring to production if anyone that wants one will possibly out of the cast before it gets produced.
also sizes ? left or right ? maybe an Ipod edition that has built in jack and ear buds that run from the pouch up the sling and across the shoulder strap .
I think this has a great deal of possibilities but hard to get moving .
I play hockey and I have an issue with chronic subluxation with my left shoulder. That means that it pops out of joint, hangs out for a bit, but I can manage to pop it back in myself. Needless to say, I'm usually in a sling for a couple of days after each recurrance, then rehabbing it for the next month or so before I can get back on the ice.
This is a great idea! i really wish we could get it to market...
I think this is how it should have been done: http://www.casttoo.com
By the way, it says 'patent pending', does this mean this product will be eliminated?
The products are totally different. Quirky has a sling for your arm. The place you linked to has sleeves that you can slip over any cast. Quirky's design wouldn't infringe on the casttoo patent in any way.
this is cute.
a great product, influences people to break their arm
If you could add a small foam pillow that attached by velcro to the sling and rested against the wearer's hip, it would be more comfortable and keep the arm in a more neutral position. It would also allow me to use it for post-surgical patients and I would buy enough to start production now. The foam pillow only needs to abduct the shoulder 10 degrees and can be one size fits all and can be interchangeable from right to left side with a velcro strip that runs along the foam "pillow" Contact me if interested.
