Show AllI really like this idea but what about a charging base the similar size as the base in the picture above that stays plugged in to the wall. Similar to rechargeable toothbrushes. Point being by removing the ac adapter; make charging simple and safe, just place on stand to keep charged/charge, children need to have less interaction with sockets and charging cables. The clock will always show but If also being marketed as a nightlight or safety light, automatically switch on when removed from base and auto shut off when docked. But give the option to switch on if needed with auto shutoff timer when used as a sleep aid.
So sorry but this idea doesn't fill enough of a need. I see lots of prouducts on this site that are literal copies of currently existing products. This site should be more intelligent about the products it chooses to produce. Then again their is a sucker shopping every second. Where is the real innovation?
Amazing idea. Even though my son can tell time, he still has trouble with the concept. So before school he watches cartoons, but gets so engulfed, he doesnt watch the clock... and misses the bus. A subtle light would do the trick!
This is an awesome idea! If it was available when my kids were a little younger, I would have gotten one for each of them. I love the feature that you can set the alarm to let them know when it is too early to wake mommy. And it can be used to now how long they need to stay in their room for nap time too! Very good thinking. This needs to get in production more quickly than waiting for all of the presale orders IMO
Getting rid of diapers at night is often a tough one. Understandably there is some concern about getting to the bathroom in the dark. This little device can help kids overcome that concern.
Deffo shoudl be marketed and aimed at people with Kids, see my review. But also, needs to consider global or at minimum Eu/UK power requirements ie shipping a cord. I am sure that qith thier manufacturing contacts they can come up with options to supply products with EU/USA power kits.
Hi,
I have twin three year olds who dont understand the concept of staying in bed when they wake up. They always come into mummy and daddys room. How do you encourage them to stay in bed untill its 'morning time' ie time to get up. I was musing over something like this for ages, and lo and behold here it is! Brilliant, if it comes with a UK power lead!

Adults who could use this item: people with low vision (think millions of people over 60) who get up in the night to use the bathroom and don't want to turn on lights that would wake others in the household. People who need to navigate a strange place in the middle of the night - travelers staying in hotels, overnight guests in your home.
I think this is a good functional product, despite what it could have been, and just needs a little good marketng.
Can the community vote for a redo? Maybe let people who have or have had kids be most influential in voting. The price is also an issue. The more expensive one currently on the market with all the "bells and whistles" is only slightly more... and it does what the original idea was. It is not a lamp that kids can walk around the house with. It is a light that lets them know it is ok to get up. This needs a design redo.
