- Includes AC adapter and USB cord.
- Color: silver.
This product is powered using an external power source with a range of 110-240v.
This is great. The only suggestion I would make on this product is to make it just a teensy bit taller so I could slide a Mac mini or Airport Base station underneath. Of course with the new I/O connections on the latest models of iMacs and Mac Mini's, it would be nice to keep this product current with the latest of I/O connectors routing to the front. Regardless - this is one solid product.
I love the look of the Space Bar and it feels very durable. It's a great addition to my desk. However, the base of the iMac hangs off a bit, which makes me feel uneasy. The power adapter cable also slips out of the back VERY easily. Lastly, I kind of wish two of the front USB ports were the charge-only ones and they put some of the regular USB ports in the back - this would be best for a mouse, etc. Great packaging, nice design, nice materials. Still not perfect though!
The spacebar looks awesome and it compliments my iMac, however I consider the following shortcomings of the device. The back two usb ports allow you to charge your ipad, kindle, iphone etc. The front 4 usb's are only pass thru ports for camera, scanners etc. What is confusing is the front 4 ports will charge the iphone but not the iPad. I initially figured this gave me 6 good usb ports but I was wrong. I have tried 2 different spacebars ( both vers. 3). One other disappointment: I have a 27 inch monitor and the back of the monitor base hangs off the spacebar by a good 1 1/2 inches. I felt if one of the grandkids hit the desk it might tip. I solved that by putting the monitor base UNDER the spacebar. Reluctantly I will be returning the spacebar as it doesn't work for me as I had hoped.
