It's been awhile since the Product Design has been completed. Any update on this?

I already have a patent pending 2-handed pump for dusting computer related products. I sold out and have ordered more from manufacturer. It has a cone-shaped nozzle of ideal size opening for creating a strong blast of air using the power of both hands. ComputerDustPump.com

This may sound strange but look into how Bose speakers make big sound. The advantage of compressed air is the 'compressed' part which makes for a powerful burst from a small unit. Bose speakers work similar to this with winding tunnels that sort of produce compressed sound. Maybe a series of winding tunnels could compress the air enough during the pumping action to produce a close proximity replica of the power from a compressed air can. Doesn't have to be on par because the device has the added bonus of re-usability...just close enough. See if you can make my product more exciting. http://www.quirky.com/ideations/175595

What about a hand crank, like a fishing rod crank.
Inside would be a piston and crankshaft, with gears to multiply the turns made on the crank.
a small air tank capable of storing a good amount of compassed air at the touch of the trigger.

everyone is thinking you should have a hand pump to develop the air needed for the compressor... but why not have a foot pump instead... this way, the outlet of the air pump it always steady on the direction its pointing... all it needs is a small flexhose from the foot pump to the air outlet nozzle...

I do think a new type of air compressor is needed. it it a great idea.

This would be cost saving. Great product.

You could also use the same concept of a grease gun. One pull backwards on the handle pulls air into the can. A spring on the other side of the piston pushes the air out when the valve is realeased.
Each time you empty the can, you need to pull the handle back once. The bigger the can the more air it will hold. Less moving parts with this concept.

Think of a miniture super-soaker water gun that does an air stream. It has a ratchet hand pump action that compresses the air more with each squeeze. And the nozzel is supper small to produce the highest velocity of air.
The size should be no bigger than a can of air, and having the nozzel extended from the can would be even better. The squeeze shouldn't be difficult with each pump. I'm thinking of the gears in a hand pump eco flashlight. One c-shaped gear on the hand pump that spins a smaller gear to lower the piston which compresses the air.

Would love ideas on uses for this. I was thinking electric devices, like laptops first, but there's other ones like dvd players, electric fans, then I started to think about dusting a light shade. You can't really wash them as their made of silk usually and feather dusters don't do a super job. I also thought about window blinds. I can't get my feather dusters in there. I also can't bring our big compressor into the house. We have blinds that are too big to bring into the shower to wash. Would love other uses. Thanks everyone for your comments.
