what about about one thats about half the size of the full size one with one or two soft plastic or silcone rings,with clips attached that slip on to the light like a clothes pin or like a hair clip with rubber grippers on the inside of the clip ends.
How about what I do, I open my laptop and pick up an external key board. So in saying that, can you come up with one that could attach to that? I don't use any lights when I'm working on the computer but there are some times I need a little light. Or maybe thats why I have so many typo's!)

Adjustable lighting from High medium to low and additional conservative lighting !
