also let the light go completely around the helmet .seperate it into two sectoins that light up .this way can be seen from all sides and the front as well as the back .just a slight modification .from an avid rider ..hope this helps you .
the only drawback is daylight use red is not a color that is easily seen in daylight ,orange or lime green like in reflective vests would be a better choice .on a black or a dark background ..just a suggestion .george
I wish this came out a while ago, but I do have another generation coming up. I love the Idea, and hope everyone gets aboard.

What if there were bands for the ankles too?
What about a halo design like the BMW headlights?
Move the Break lights up on the helmet and shape them like eyes this will get people attention. Then give it a cool mouth with fangs or something. Bikers like that sort of thing.
I ride, and that's too far away from the average rider.
