For many parents with young children, the lack of a safety feature may be a major turn off. I'd suggest having it come with a childproof cap that would fit onto most medicine containers. There's a material called polycaprilactone which melts in hot(60C)water and could potentially be used as a semi-permanent sealant/attatchment for a cap(the consumer would have to reheat the polycaprilactone to get the cap off). Polycaprilactone is inexpensive, durable, and nontoxic - it only degrades into water and CO2. Another option could be some sort of flexible, minimal clip like design that clips on the lid of the medicine bottle. The clip could be made to only detach from the bottle when the medicine dropper isn't in it. I think providing the option of a childproof cap could broaden the range of consumers who would consider using your product.

They are not just for medicine, Stevia (a sweetener) comes in liquid for and uses an eye dropper to dispense it. Of course it can't get it all out of the bottle.

The collaspable neck of this medicine dropper will make it readily adjustable for bottles with different depths. And since the bulb shrinks gradually at the neck, it makes it easier to get better suction.

Holy Crap! this is a million dollar idea!! I am sure you will make a fortune on this!!

I would do it from plastic, it will be cheaper and it cannot be broken into sharp pieces as glass. I would prefer a plastic disposable product for one use only.

I don't see it now, but there was a comment from someone about Target syringes and bottles. I think that is a great idea, and his comment that it only works for Target bottles does not have to be true. All you would need is the universal "cork" the submitter mentioned, to fit in the bottle you have. You could then use a standard syringe connector on the cork... that would be the invention. Then standard disposable syringes of different volumes could be used to measure and deliver the medicine.
