Show AllPenZen is not just for pens... I can think of at least 3 other uses. I can't wait to get my hands on this! I think the price could use an adjustment. As for Caroline's question: a quick rinse should rid the unit of any dust that collects. Additionally, if stored on one of the edges, it should be pretty dust resistant.
This product definitely sounds stylish and I like the concept. I agree with the other reviewers that is seems pricey for what it is. My main concern is how much dust this thing will collect and how easy it would be to clean. We all know how much dust collects on our desks and office supplies.
Totally agree: product vs. price=failure.
This idea lacks in a few areas and although it is in production I hope you will consider revising the design and resubmitting an improved version. The grips and overall functionality of the initial design is good but the price is to high for what it can do. If you showed me maximum capacity in it and if you added a way to easily make it a 2 in 1 that transforms from an office situation to a scholarly situation when more things need to be portable and able to take a lot of vibration I would be sincerely grateful. Hope you get to this and if anyone else has seen this and wants, has , or needs an account , please send an encouraging improvement to this design , there is so much possibility locked away in this priceless idea and there is no time to waste in improving the world of manual writing.
I love the idea of having a place to put all those things other than a cup, but I can't afford this price. Also, consider making a smaller version for those of us in cubicles with limited desk space.
It's a cool product, but I agree with Ben T. and Boyd. I've seen "designer" pen and pencil holders for under $10.00. Unless you can increase it's functionality or maybe make it part of a set of other office equipment,
I think $26.00 will be a tough sell.
If I put a pen in there, and the point of the pen hasn't been retracted, there will be a pen mark on the table. Is that right? also I love the magnetic surface idea.
Quirky, any chance we could re-evaluate this product (and some others) to try and get them to market. The core idea is there but the execution just isn't there, in my opinion I think we could do this up so much better! Let's give it a second chance, is there any way?
There definitely is! We're reevaluating different elements of this product, and we're reconsidering pricing. Stay tuned!
I agree w/ Boyd: @ $26 you've priced yourself out of the market. Even with its hip & modern design I can't justify spending more than $10 on something to hold my pens. Set your price-point to a more consumer-realistic dollar amount and I'll push the button! :)
I think the price point is set way too high at $26. I imagine this will be manufactured in China (not Germany), so it's probably a safe bet to cut the price in half, bump up the pre-sales, and start selling them before 2011 roll around.
Couldn't agree more with you Boyd. It's now way too expensive to be 'nice'...
