i love the idea of this tool. an infinite swiss army knife with myriad self selected versions. alas, assembly was frustrating, the scissors stuck out, the spring is weird, you can't bring out one blade without bringing out the others. i am hopeful this great idea will be fixed and that all of us early adopters will be rewarded with new improved units.
I am a big Quirky fan! Switch was the first item I purchased. Cost me close to a 100$ with shipping. I bought it for my brother for xmas and his bday months beforehand. I was so excited!! I was only slightly concerned when 2 of the accessories turned out to be the same (2 screwdrivers). We made no big fuss about the quality control. He's an engineer so it was the perfect gift for him. When I bought it, there were almost no reviews out. Now that all the bad reviews are in, my great gift seems to be turning into a shoddy nightmare... What a bust! :(
For the money, you should be able to make three knives since there are so many parts - After all, there are three chassis . . . Also, include the back covers to go with the extra chassis. The front axle screw is to short and the knife is difficult to open once assembled. This product should be all stainless steel because the aluminium is to soft. There were burs on some of the tool attachments and the knife blade wasn't sharp. I could go on . . . I give you an 'A' for effort and 'D'for execution! I like the concept, but you need to go back and rework the loose ends. The knife is difficult to open which makes it dangerous. I do recommend this product in it's current state.
