I've gone through my fair share of dustpans (because someone in my household keeps throwing them away with the dust!) but most of them fail on their most basic property: there's always a gap between the front end of the pan and the floor: Broom Groomer is heavy, pitched so that when it rests on the floor even without a foot on the back the leading edge always has an excellent seal with the floor. The grooming attribute is a bonus that works well too.

Works exactly as it should. I have always hated how pet hair gathers at the broom straws and won't come off, at least until you're putting the broom away and it comes off in a dusty chunk on your newly-swept floor. This eliminates that happenstance entirely! I've used it for over six months and still love it.

I also would have bought if it came with a broom and had a long handle. Hate bending over.

I am not sure why it took this long for someone to come up with this idea! I expect that in 10 years they'll all be made like this. Also, I've found that the curved handle stays in place even if you're not using it as a "foot pedal" which is infinitely convenient.

Have you broomed much? Teeth is somewhat good idea but what happens over time in its use when person uses it after 1 thousand broom movement with the broom that comes with it.

The bristle bends and wear out and lose bristle length.

    So what's better idea?

Longer teeth. The teeth is not long enough to handle other brooms that person might want to use with it. Should take up half the space of the pan. And pan is too little. Should be wide and longer to handle other large brooms owner of this pan would like to use it with. Then, small and large pan would be good idea right? Yes you are getting at it. Broom goes dead faster than the pan. Then, now you are close to what will happen to the product. Current design is only friendly to 30 days of the broom's life and small user with small purpose. Give this pan a bigger purpose and bigger capacity to handle dirt. Reinforced handle please.

I raise Macaw birds, dogs and horses, I am constantly having to sweep everything from dander to bird food to dog toy messes to hay and messes in the barn. This is GENIUS!! I spend more time cleaning off the brooms with my hands from the collected floor items, feathers, hair, etc etc than you can imagine. I am ordering this and will give you an update of how it holds up to the hard animal daily life :)
