Cute to package starter herb plants as a gift, perhaps. Agree with other reviews that the cups are simply too small for plants of any useful size - would not be able to harvest sufficient amount of herbs for cooking from such small plants...

My husband and I cook a lot and I would love to have something like this to allow me to grow my own herbs indoors. I wouldn't buy this product for the simple fact that it looks tacky and would clash with the rest of my decor. Ever think about making this look more modern/organic to appeal to adults?

Would love to be able to get a more "natural" look, though, darker green stems and regular terra cotta for everything else perhaps?

Fresh herbs are my favorite thing to grow and I miss them terribly in the winter. Most common kitchen herbs need about a square foot of space per plant and grow any where from 6 inches to a few feet high. They would very quickly outgrow those planting cups. I love the idea and convenience, but I don't know how it would work for cultivating kitchen herbs. It might be better sold as an attractive way to start plants indoors before transferring them outside.

Would be nice if there were more cups but still the small base.

after examining all the pictures i think the cups need to be bigger. i think so because from my experiences with the plants in the picture like parsely and rosemary is that they will eventually get big, and the cup size in the pictures won't be able to support the plants for a long time. i really like this idea, but if i get it, i would like to leave the plants alone and not have to transplant them to a bigger container.

From someone who grows there own herbs at home, the size of the plants in the image is misleading. I am trying to imagine it with a full parsley or a rosemary plant that is 6-8 months old. Same thing with Basil. These plants get big! Even thyme and oregano do.

You should also be able to water the pan in the bottom and have it wick up to the plants, keeping them just the right amount of moist. I would be interested, but only after a rework. i would be interested to see them try a prototype with real plants after 6 months to a year.

Awesome! I love gardening a little too much and always noticed that there is a severe lack of well-designed, modern gardening tools & accessories. This looks great & has a lot functionality. Being able to keep your herbs in their own soil, while still having them grouped together is a great benefit.

This is great! My 16 yr old son loves the idea too! Fresh, cute, easy, AND useful! Can't wait to get this. Will make a great gift too.
