How cute is this? I adore it. I will tell friends who have dogs. Sorry I don't have a dog.

Gave this to a friend as a Christmas gift and he reports that the wrist strap is too tight when wearing gloves. An extra inch or two would fix the problem.

May be ok for small pets.
This product is missing two design features that is necessary for large dogs.
I learned from experience, and a dog who won't stop pulling out arm sockets. My prototype works great! Does Quirky want to go back to the drawing board on this?
    PS: only joined yesterday

If I had a dog, I would buy this. I am considering buying this for my friend and their dog. He always carries plastic bags tied around the top of the leash. I think it looks so tacky! This is definitely a great gift for them. Can't wait!

29.99? Seriously? Three years ago I bought a leash contained in a fire hydrant cast that dispensed the required bags. It was 9.00 and its still works.

So my first quirky purchase arrived and I have to admit I was extremely disappointed. I have been a huge fan of the concept behind this site, the ideas and marketing I think are all great so I was extremely excited to find something on here that I actually really wanted and didn't say "oh that seems cool, but I'll save my money" and instead got extremely excited about this leash since I made my commitment to buy it back in August and continued to track the product ever since.
Well it finally arrived and I have to say that I am extremely disappointed. It feels cheap and crappy almost like an infomercial item would... This is not what I had associated with Quirky.
The leash feels like a cheap plastic one (definitely not sturdy enough for a 90lb dog like they claim - maybe good for a 10-15lb'er) loosely covered in neoprene. The re-coil on the leash is terrible and if the band is not perfectly flat it will not retract, clearly this was not designed or tested by a dog owner as everyone knows the dog is going to move around and even during a 5 minute walk the cord will get tangled thus preventing it from recoiling properly. The neoprene loop is also extremely small and not big enough for my hands to go through and hold comfortably so this aspect is also a disappointment. I wish I had something positive to say but just come up empty handed as the construction in my mind is terrible on this.
I purchased this to replace my zip lead leash which I had simply added a poop bag to and after just 3 days of really wanting to get a better impression from this have gone back to my old leash.
Perhaps for solid plastic items without moving parts I would try Quirky again or for some of their desk wire management stuff but for anything regarding safety (be it for me, my dog or anyone!) I am going to stay far away as I just don't have the confidence this item will hold up.

Gave one as a gift to my friend and she said it works great! She said it is built well and seems like it will last a long time. She is quite happy!!

this seems like it would work great for a tiny 10 lbs dog...however my 30 lbs husky pup pulls this thing right out of my hand while the loop jerks my wrist. the handle needs some curve to it. Also, maybe she'd stop peeing neer my shoes if the lead were more than an arms length.
