Take Your Waffles to a New Dimension

View This Product's Development History

Waffler’s specially designed waffle mold plates allow you to create cup-shaped “waffle shots”, opening a whole new world of waffle possibilities. Serve your waffles with heaping servings of fruit, mounds of whip cream, or a sea of syrup.

Waffler features:

- Two interchangable waffle plate sets: traditional Belgian style and Quirky’s special waffle shot design.

- Each mold plate includes a canal to prevent spillover and keep your Waffler clean.

- Compact unit can stand up vertically to be stored away in a cabinet when not in use.

- The power cord located in the rear of the unit can be wrapped and stored in the Waffler’s base.

- Adjustable timer with four presets for perfectly cooked waffles. When the bell dings, they’re done!

Waffler measures approximately 12” x 9” x 4”. Belgian waffles are 4” x 3”, while waffle shots measure 3” across by 2” high.

Will this product include a small book of recipes? There could be a handful of recipes from QS and the community that get voted on + rated using the established Quirky process. The goal of this would be to have multiple winners. The book could be sold as well.

I want this now, I have been holding out on a plug in waffle maker for years (classic iron stove top model for me) but am ready to make the plunge.

Will this product have the panini grill plates? I thought that was discussed as a feature to increase the usefulness of the product.

This has been one of my favorite products to influence here! I really want to get one but i live in a country with a 230V power supply. Would the Waffler be able to work with 220V-240V power?

BTW - Those are the most delicious-looking, computer-generated waffles I've ever seen. Yum.

Looks nice!-And...DAMN! That was fast! I liked the original logo better, but on the whole it looks very sharp. And, I don't agree with Katie-those waffle shots makes me want to buy it. Otherwise, there are million other waffle makers to choose from.

I approve. I just hope that when it comes time to prototype this device that the cups turn out soft and waffle-y, and not crunchy like a waffle cone. Or, provide two "cup" inserts for crunchy and soft, respectively.

Is Waffler going to be UL certified and made in both 110V and 220/240V versions?

Adding oats can help make the waffle stiffer and more healthy. Fresh fruit is a great filler, but dried fruit can be incorporated in the batter without altering moisture. You can leave chocolate or dark chocolate chips on the waffle as it's cooling and it will make the chocolate liquid. Great subs for milk are almond milk (or almond breeze), soy, and eggnog.

...or, the "ooze collector" could be heated so those "ooze ears" attached to waffles are done and crisp. Most waffle makers have a little bit of "ooze" space, but it's unheated, so the "ooze ears" are usually undercooked.

A good, crisp waffle is always structurally strong enough to be lifted out as a single mass. The problem is getting underneath the thing to remove it without destroying it. When I was a kid, we had an old waffle iron with a molded-in flat spot which created sort of a tab at the end of the waffle. You could easily slide a spatula under this waffle tab and then start the process of lifting it out intact. You should consider adding this to allow easier waffle extraction.

The "ooze collector" should be cooled to save fresh batter and reduce waste. There should also be a good spatula to get this out of the chamber.

So maybe I'm a little late for this but I'm not to sure that shots will cook correctly and even if they do if they will stand. I guess drinking an ounce of syrup will be a new college trend but I really don't get it. Has anyone tested the ability to create a 1 oz shot glass out of batter. It seems as though this one has gotten away from us. IMHO the KISS method should be reapplied.
