Show AllPutting a rubbery surface where ever the case would make contact with a tabletop so if someone tries using the phone while it's propped up it won't slide around.
I love the idea for this product but you should make a line of them for other smartphones not just I phone 4. Preferably The droid smartphones.
Will this work on other phones like Droid or are there ones being developed for those? Since I do not own a IPhone 4.
Its been a month since i last posted and we have not heard anything about Tilt. At this point I don't see this ever going to production unless you change the design in a major way. The free bumper thing is over so no "sales challenge" there. Other cases are doing well and we sit here with 51 pre-sales and no response from quirky.
I hate to see the quirky process fail. But that is the best part. We have the ability to voice our concerns. If quirky HQ, Ben and our retail partners still think that this is the design to go with and this is the best we can do then I will accept it. But honestly I think we ALL feel that his is a poor mark on quirky. I would be proud to pitch every other one of our products to retailers around the world and would defend and sell the design the best I could because I believe that what we got in the end was the best design based on the market data that we gathered. The tilt would be the ONLY product that I would not be able to say that for. Please quirky lets show the world that crowd based design DOES work and even if we fail we can turn around and redo things right.
Tilt was an attempt to jump on a bandwagon and it shows. The function is too niche, the name isn't appealing and the logo was unpopular. I think it might be an idea to resurrect this when iPhone 5 is launched (assuming there'll be one?), and start again from ID.
I Love it! it is "Quirky" and the color is excellent. love the shape, can always take it off for less. I'm just waiting for the iphone 4 white to order it.
Quirky: I don't mean to sound pesimistic but if it is any indication the the product ideator, @Shazwi has canceled his order for his own product (see below) then why do we continue to promote this design. Go back to the drawing board, have the interns work on it, reopen the ID phase. We made this case when we didn't even have an iPhone 4 in our hands. Lets re-do this and re-do it RIGHT.
I just don't want to see this great product idea thrown out because we failed to change when we have validation to do so.
I am holding you accountable, just as I would expect you to hold me accountable.
I gave up. As an influencer with a fairly good% I am disappointed. Tilt could be great, but it is being held up by faulty decisions. I have since canceled my pre - order thereby withdrawing my support. If you have an order for it just for the influence % but don't really think this is the right design I encourage you to cancel as well. This will show QHQ that we do not support it and hopefully convince them to change the design.
done.
To be honest, the kickstand idea is great! The issue is that the design is just terribly ugly.
One of iPhone 4s biggest selling point is its sleek industrial design, a case would need to mimic it to get iPhone 4 users to want to purchase this. People like to show off their fancy phone, not hide it in this a weird case.
Additionally, for 28 dollars you can purchase a much better case from say Otterbox (their commuter series is sleek and strong) or Specks Candy Shell.
The kickstand is a luxury, the design is key.
Back with some blue! We still feel strongly that this is a great product, and we hope that customers feel the same way and express their support with a pre-sales purchase. The antenna issues with the iPhone 4 and the announcement of Apple's free case/bumper giveaway certainly handed us a sales challenge, and we're not shying away from it. However, we also don't want to give Tilt any special treatment over our other products in pre-sales. If you're an influencer in Tilt (or just a fan) you can help the effort by promoting Tilt using your social sales link! Other ideators/influencers have been successful this way too. :)
This product seems to have died. Would quirky be willing to comment on why we have not heard more about why this failed and what we can do about it. 55 pre-sales is tiny and I imagine many of them are influencers looking to hold their place in pre sales to get more influence (after cloak we all learned to buy early to make sure we get the pre-sales influence). Is quirky ignoring this problem? I would like to see some blue comments on here.
