Same format different ports
I agree with Doug, make another product with the same idea just different ports, thunderbolts, firewire...etc. It will be a hit
Embrace and extend
You have a terrific physical format—now offer a Thunderbolt version that has 2 USB3 ports, 1 Thunderbolt port, one Mini DisplayPort , one Ethernet port and one FW800 port. Do NOT use USB2 ports. If Mac Thunderbolt ports acquire the capability to drive non-Thunderbolt displays, the DisplayPort can go. Yes, the product would be pricey, but everyone who buys or owns a current Macbook or Macbook Air has to have something like it and yours would be the best.
