The DigiDude is your own funky, portable camera tripod and keychain with attitude. Simply screw off your dude’s head and pull out his retractable legs for the perfect on-the-go camera mount.
DigiDudes are easily attached to your keychain or camera bag... so say goodbye to shaky hands, blurry pictures, cumbersome tripods, and unnecessary camera gear. The DigiDude will mount most point and shoot cameras, flipcams, and more. If it fits in your pocket it will fit on your DigiDude.
The Quirky Community has certainly added some flair to this one. Choose from one of five dudes: Pinky Scorsese, Snot Buster, 1iChomp, BoltBot, and G-bling-Money-Son, each with their own personality and attitude.
All DigiDudes come fully equipped with a keyring and retractable / adjustable legs so you can set your tripod's height. Dare we say: "Collect them all?"

I donated my yellow DigiDude to a charity auction this week. My coworkers work in photography, but there were other art professionals in the group and the item we as well recieved. Our photo people found them cute but not quite sturdy enough for the Nikon D300 (we knew that already.) Everyone thought they were cute and all of the Quirky information was on the box. I don't know if anyone will seek this item out, but I just wanted to tell you that.

I received my DigiDude in the mail earlier this week. Cool design, great concept! I have an Olympus point & shoot camera that is rather heavy for it's size (Metal casing-waterproof), and the tripod holds it up just fine. My only complaint with the design is with the metal screw mount that the camera connects to the tripod with. It needs to be mounted to the tripod in a MUCH MORE SECURE WAY. A measly bit of glue isn't going to cut it! The second time I screwed my camera onto the tripod, the screw separated from the tripod! I didn't crank down on the screw either; just screwed it on normally, and the screw came right off the tripod. I really like the product, but for $20 I expect it to last a LITTLE longer than the second time! I'm going to apply some super glue to the base of the screw & see if that solves the problem, but it's kind of amazing that someone would think a tiny dab of glue to secure a mounting screw would be acceptable! The legs of the tripod being made of plastic is fine, but the round mounting plate needs to be metal, or the camera mount screw needs to be screwed all the way through, maybe with a washer underneath to secure it? Luckily the concept is very cool, or I wouldn't be trying to repair it- I'd be returning it! Please address this issue in future production, or you'll have a ton of dissatisfied customers! Thank you.

It will be fine if it could allow the camera to shoot pictures from above (vertically), like when you want to take a picture of a page from a book. Daniel Rhod

You have to go to the quirky blog (link on bottom of the page). The final design of this is a lot nicer. Price is still too high for my tastes though.

I would be cool making it so that it at the same time fits into the 32 pin connector of an iPhone/Nano etc as theese are increasingly being used for taking pictures etc. :)

Looks like a condom with a cartoon character face on it to me (especially the pink one). I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd probably buy the thing just for that fact.

@Alan - I'm having the same problem with the name. Old habits die hard. I never saw the "pierced nipple" until you pointed it out - now that's funny. @Russell - I can't agree with you on your Red Bull analogy, although I do understand where you're coming from. Although the name has nothing to do with the actual product, Red Bull makes sense because it's something I can visualize without nausea. Now if they had named it Red Bull Vomit, I would probably not buy it. I understand and enjoy humor in product naming and placement, but I guess I appreciate more subtle and witty humor. Not so much the bodily function humor. As far as buyers needing to join quirky to purchase in presale and catching onto the atmosphere here, I agree with you completely. My concern is the market beyond quirky. That's where the big money and broader quirky brand awareness will come from. Your undeserved flattery has melted most of my cantankerous and stodgy demeanor. Most. I'll search out your comments on other products and happily engage in give and take.

They dont look like anything. The original design made it look like a person with a camera head, which was cool, but if not for the painted mouth on the body, these just look like a plastic cylinder with retractable legs. Im not saying its a bad design, Im just saying that the original design had much more character. I agree with B Durfee on this one as well. Most camera owners will probably never feel the need to own a mini tripod, and naming one something like "Snot Rocket" might turn off the people who are serious enough about their photography somewhat. While I cant see anyone buying one specifically because its named "Snot Rocket", I can see some people being turned off by it. Even if its only a little polarizing, its still polarizing. I still think this one will sell, though. Even if the removed head looks suspiciously like a breast with a massive nipple piercing.
