Watt Time integrates the iconic light bulb shape into your daily alarm clock. The light-bulb shaped clock not only adds a little humor to your morning grind, but might actually offer you a reason to part with your iPhone and Blackberry, if only for the alarm feature. With Watt Time, you’ll be bright on time!
Here’s why buying Watt Time is a bright idea:
- Watt Time is constructed out of durable high-gloss plastic, which allows the digital time display to shine through the bulb’s outer wall.
- A bright blue LED display illuminates the time and date, and an easily accessible snooze button located on top of the bulb’s socket end makes it possible to get those “five more minutes” you always need.
- If the sound alone is not enough to wake you, you have the option of setting the bulb to illuminate when your alarm goes off as well.
- We’ve placed all buttons discretely at the back of the bulb so as not to disturb the simplicity and beauty of the design.

I love this idea! Perhaps add a way to change the color of the numbers? Also it would be neat to add a name or phrase on the bulb to personalize it.

Should have an option for solar power.. Sell it with that song "What's New?" Linda Ronstad picked it up (40s song) and sang it in the 80s.... could be resung as "WATTS NEW? How is the world treating you..."

6 months maybe if you never illuminate the bulb. Leave the bulb on by mistake and the batteries will be dead in 3.5 hours if the light is anything like those stick-up bulbs http://www.consumersearch.com/as-seen-on-tv/stick-up-bulb.

Battery Operated- Double A's.... On first calculation... Lasts about 6 months per battery swap.

Is this battery operated? If so, whats the consensus on how long it will run on one set of batteries, and what kind of batteries it would take.

sorry, but i just don't see a market for this. who wants a big weird shaped thing next to them. we've moved on from a time when this would have become a hit, but hey good luck.

Since the light bulb is also iconic for having an idea, how 'bout incorporating a simple voice memo recorder? User wakes up at night with an idea, presses a button on Watt Time and records it - an alternative to keeping a notepad by the bed. ("Sound Ideas" feature?) Bonus if you could add a USB port to save idea memo recordings to a USB stick, which could also be used as an audio source for alarm sounds, wake-up music, etc... Seems like "Watt Time is it." would be a great tagline (as a statement, with emphasis on "it")

I agree with what some people have brought up. I think it should have the ability to wake-by-light like that Philips one. Also, when the alarm isn't going off, you could have the snooze button on top activate the light. It could have 2 or 3 levels of brightness too. Has there been any talk about the actual alarm sound(s)? It'd be nice to have choices.
