Show AllThe writing sheet stains easily, I have NO idea how to clean this thing.
The stylus' bumps and edges needs to be smoothed out, it scratches the HELL out of the writing sheet. with 15$ I'd rather buy a mousepad and a stack of post it notes
Can barely see writing, bubbles prevent from having a smooth surface and the raised edges don't feel comfortable.
really not impressed with this, first one came and could barely write anything, email quirky and they sent me a new one, still terrile. Still waiting for my refund, I love Quirky but its short cuts like this piece of crap that make me not a happy community member. This product needs to be pulled from the store. Its not worth the quirky name for such a piece of crap.
Difficult to write on the pad as the plastic membrane is to thick and warps. Half of the words disappear as you write.
This product is exactly like the cheap toys we played with as a kids. I was shocked at how terribly fragile the top plastic membrane was, it arrived damaged with dents and a tear. I've never seen a non-used product arrive in such bad condition. overall a terrible, terrible execution of a cool idea.
I love Quirky and love their products. I have purchased 4 items from quirky and have 2 in the production phase. Although this is a great idea, the product does not work very well. If fact it is pretty useless.
Sorry, great idea, poor design. I bought one, but find that it needs to be redesigned in the materials phase. The contrast between written words and the white top is not high enough to make a useful scratch pad. The top "paper" doesn't lie on the underlying surface very securely so the amount of area that can be written on is very small and text doesn't last long. The white top does not seem sturdy enough to last very long. The provided stylus is flimsy and too thin to use comfortably, even in my small hands.
I loved the idea. The following comments are based on one purchased many months ago, so if they've been corrected as suggested by Stuart Carey below, it's not apparent from the pictures.
1. Was disappointed about the lip which irritates my wrist.
2. Moving the mouse creates lines just like a note, so notes don't last very long except at the extreme edges of the notepad.
3. The stylus is very flexible--hard to write with.
Right, so how could a mouse pad stop functioning? I loved the idea for this product, more as a scratch pad for all the temporary info I need to jot down while working than as a mousepad. So I bought one of the early ones. But after only a few months, the notepad function stopped working... the film on top no longer temporarily adheres to the base, so writing does not stay legible for even 5minutes. Has there been an improvement in a later" generation?
Hey Marc, I'm buying one today!
