Outdoor Gardening

Whether it’s basic lawn care or maintaining a yard full of perennials, outdoor gardening can be quite a chore. Let’s invent a product that can take the pain out of planting.

This week’s brief is all about outdoor gardening.

There are plenty of tasks that require gardeners to bend down, reach up, and crawl around. That’s a lot of manual labor, or as we see it, a lot of opportunity to make products that could help. We’ve already gotten started with an innovative garden hose attachment called Aqueduct Now let’s see what else we can make better.

To get you inspired, check out Martha Stewart’s outdoor planting guide and HGTV’s gardening tips. Think about your workflow as you garden, to identify areas for improvement, and then test out some solutions to see how it might become a product. It might just be our next big idea!
Our usual parameters apply: physical consumer products that would retail for less than $150 and do not require integrated software. We will conduct DMV Research (design potential, marketability and viability) to determine which ideas would be a smart business decision.
You can submit one idea for free, and the deadline is Mon, Aug 29, at noon ET. If you think we’d really dig your idea, submit now!
