Product 0027
We all have tons of pens lying around, mostly occupying often used drawers, or being stacked in some sort of funny cup-like holder... Either way it's a messy gang, most of them being cheap (usually promotional) biros, many of them dried up. To help maintain an overview of this Pen-o-mania, the disPENser is an outcome. It's no more than a thin (plastic or cardboard?) container, holding the pens in a neat orderly ... more

Pen Zen: The Art of Organization. It's logo time - who can help?! have at it quirks!
RECAP:
This is less a "dispenser" and more of a piece of functional art.
Soft silicone tentacles grip any pencil, pen, or similar object. This holder allows for random access of any instrument you would like to use. The "dispenser" will work in any orientation: hung on a wall, placed flat on a desk, or standing up.
For drama, lighting could be incorporated and will allow the tentacles to glow.
To illustrate the concept, I rendered the design with a polished aluminum holder, but it could be any material. I envision various sizes and shapes, or the ability to join units together for long blocks, or large square, etc. Or the tentacle holder could be flexible, allowing the owner to create their own freeform sculpture.
This device can also hold business cards, an iPod or iPhone, a deck of Post-Its, or pretty much anything that would fit in the slot.
The fingers are very flexible and will not harm any surface. The tentacles could be molded in any color, or you could purchase different color inserts.

My idea for this product. The logo is simple and represents the pen made of letters. I focused on minimalistic approach. I don't know if there is a packaging contest later on, so I also prepared a mock-up - it will be a fully transparent box. That also shows how this logo can be used. The logo can work horizontal or vertical but personally I like the vertical better. There is also a slightly different version. I'm curious what you think! (it's 3am here, so forgive me this lousy description ;))
